The Kansas Belle is a fully operational dinner train that runs on Saturdays and Sundays. Patrons have the additional option of dinner theater including: Murder Mysteries, WWII USO Show, or Melodramas.
Our 3 hour Saturday night evening runs are more formal and romantic, while the Sunday afternoon dinner run is a more casual outing best suited for families with a slightly shorter run time.
Take a train ride through the 1940s on this memorable Baldwin City attraction. The Kansas Belle Dinner Train, located at the Midland Railway at 1515 High St., provides passengers with an exclusive experience only found right here in town. Most Americans today have never had the experience of riding on a train, let alone dined and been entertained on a train. So, by stepping onto the Kansas Belle, you are taking a step into a time warp through history.
Kansas Belle operates each Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon, and occasionally services a high-tea on weekdays or weekends. In this 22-mile round trip time warp, passengers will dine in the cars over a five-course dinner catered by 23rd Street Brewery’s exclusive menu, and they will be provided with murder-myster entertainment shows performed by actors from Theatre Lawrence.
Please request a reservation online or call Bruce Eveland, the owner and operator of Kansas Belle, to make a reservation. Reservations are required to be confirmed through the phone (verbally), or as Bruce likes to call it, “the old-fashioned way,” to make guests feel valued as well as make their experience unique to them.
